FAQs

  • When will the Season Start?  The season is set to start Tuesday, May 26, 2026. This is the day after the Memorial Day Holiday.
  • Is there a payment due when registering? Payments are due prior to the first day of practice.  Checks can be dropped off at the Coventry HOA office or brought to the parent meeting.
  • I do not live in Coventry.  Can my kids join Coventry Sailfish?  Yes, but your family does need to join as an affiliate member of the Coventry Homeowners Association prior to the first day of practice, May 26. Affiliate memberships will be sold beginning on May 1 and provide your family access to both the Clubhouse Pool and Harvest Lake Pool for the season. For 2026, the Coventry HOA board has set two affiliate rates: a household affiliate membership and a single membership for individuals over the age of 13.  The household affiliate pool membership rate is  $395.00.  A membership for one person over the age of 13 is $270.00.  Memberships may be purchased in person during office hours.  Contact the CHOA for further details (867-9200;  [email protected]).
  • What are the registration fees?  Fees are $120 for the first child; $110 for each additional child in your family.  This does not include affiliate member fees mentioned above if you are not already a Coventry HOA member.  There is also a $250 booster fee for families who do not meet the volunteer requirements.  All fees need to be paid prior to the first practice of the season.
  • What is the anticipated practice schedule?  Practices are Monday through Friday for 45 minutes for 8 and under; 1 hour for 9 and over.  Before end of school year, practices are 4:15 - 5:00 for 13 and older, 5:00 - 5:45 for 8 and Under, and 5:45 - 6:30 for 9-12. After school is out practices are scheduled for between 8:15am and 11am.  Practices are planned for 5/26 through 7/24.  Further information about our practice times and policies can be found in our Handbook.
  • Will there be meets?  What are key dates for the schedule?  There will be meets!  Once we get a confirmed schedule from the league, we will post it under our schedule tab.  City Meet will be held at the Hampton Aquaplex on August 1, 2026
  • What are the ability requirements to join?  Previous experience is not required!!  Anyone who is 18 or younger before June 1st is eligible to swim on the team as full members.  Swimmers ages 7+ will need to be able to swim across the pool (25m). Non-returning 6 and under will be registered into our Minnow program (see below).
  • What is the Minnow ProgramThe Minnows is a small learn-to-swim group for our new 5 and 6 year olds and young swimmers who cannot swim the length of the pool, but want to learn.  At this time, we are only able to accept 5 and 6 year olds into this program.
  • Are there Volunteer Requirements?  Yes.  All families must volunteer at our meets to support the team. We need a lot of hands to make the season happen, so it is easy to meet our requirements!
  • I have some additional questions.  We'd love to hear from you!  You can also use the form to the right to request a question or be contacted for more information.
